How a London Marketing Agency Launched 3 Client Websites in 18 Days Without Hiring a Developer

A London-based independent marketing agency needed three client websites built at once with no in-house developer. Softvole, a white label WordPress development agency, delivered all three fully unbranded sites in 18 days using a single dedicated project lead running three builds in parallel, allowing the agency to present the work as its own team’s output.

White label WordPress development case study, UK marketing agency launched 3 client websites in 18 days

The Challenge

A London-based independent marketing agency had just closed three new retainer clients in the same month, each one expecting a full business website as the first deliverable of the engagement. The agency had no in-house developer on staff, and the account team had already set client expectations around launch dates before checking delivery capacity internally, a common trap when new business closes faster than production capacity.

Hiring a developer was the obvious fix on paper. It was also the wrong one on the clock they were working against. A realistic in-house hire, job posting, interviews, notice period, onboarding, sat at roughly six weeks before a single line of code could be written. Three clients, each expecting to see progress inside a fortnight, would not wait that long. Quoting a six-week timeline risked the agency losing all three retainers before the relationship had properly started.

Freelancers were considered and ruled out. Running three separate freelance hires in parallel meant three different skill levels, three different communication styles, and three separate points of failure, with the agency’s own account managers left to manage all of it directly. The agency needed one team that could execute all three builds at senior quality, on a fixed date, without becoming a second job for its own staff.

The Solution

Softvole was brought in as the agency’s white label WordPress development partner, structured specifically around parallel delivery rather than one project at a time. A single dedicated project lead was assigned across all three builds, giving the agency one point of contact instead of three, while three senior developers worked the builds concurrently behind that lead.

Each site was built from the agency’s existing brand guidelines and already-approved client content, so no design discovery phase was needed; the brief moved straight into wireframing and WordPress development. All three builds followed Softvole’s standard white label process: brief intake, design, build and QA, then a fully unbranded handoff, run three times over on a shared timeline rather than sequentially.

Because the agency’s account managers were going to present each site directly to their own clients, every deliverable, file names, back-end labelling, comments in the code, was scrubbed of any Softvole reference before handoff. The agency’s brand was the only brand visible anywhere in the final product.

Weekly milestone updates kept the agency informed without requiring daily check-ins, so its account managers could give clients a confident status update at any point without needing to chase Softvole’s team for progress.

The Outcome

All three websites launched within 18 days of brief approval, on schedule and fully unbranded. Each site passed cross-browser and cross-device QA before delivery, so the agency received launch-ready builds rather than work that still needed internal fixing before it could go live.

The agency’s account managers presented all three sites to their respective clients as in-house work. No client on any of the three accounts was aware a white label partner had been involved at any stage, before, during, or after delivery. All three retainers were retained past the initial website deliverable, and the agency has since sent Softvole additional client projects as an ongoing production partner rather than a one-off vendor.

The agency avoided hiring costs entirely and continued using the same delivery model for future client projects rather than revisiting the in-house hiring question. Within two more retainer cycles, this white label partnership had become their default production workflow for every new client website, not just an emergency stopgap.

Softvole made it look like we tripled our dev team overnight. Our clients never knew the difference, they just saw three finished websites, on time.

Why It Worked

Three things made this project succeed where a normal hiring or freelance approach would have failed.

  • One project lead, not three. The agency briefed once and received status updates from a single point of contact, even though three separate builds were running behind the scenes.
  • Zero design discovery time. Because the agency supplied finished brand guidelines and approved content upfront, Softvole’s team moved directly into build, cutting out the weeks a from-scratch design phase usually adds.
  • Parallel execution by senior developers. Running three builds concurrently under one team, rather than three separate freelancers working in isolation, kept quality consistent across all three sites and removed the coordination overhead from the agency’s own staff.

This is the same model behind Softvole’s white label WordPress development service: a dedicated project lead, senior-only execution, and a fixed timeline the agency can quote to its own clients with confidence.
